Your local family run Garden Centre

Dundry Nurseries has come a long way since the first seed was sown by my Grandfather, Robert Palmer, in 1947.

I’m now the third generation of the family to run our traditional nursery and garden centre, and along with our friendly, experienced staff, we pride ourselves on our gardening knowledge. We are always happy to give a helping hand or answer your questions. At our site, between Cheltenham and Gloucester, we produce a varied range of home grown bedding and vegetable plants, and alongside this we offer all the essential ingredients for successful gardening.

We are also famous for our seed potato selection, which is second to none, and for our Annual Seed Potato Festival, where over 100 varieties are sold loose. We look forward to welcoming you soon to Dundry Nurseries.

Nursery

The nursery is the place where Dundry Nurseries started life. Our family started raising plants on the site in 1947 and the glasshouses are still at the heart of our operation today.

In days gone by we produced plants for many other garden centres and stores, including Woolworths, but these days our focus is on the needs of our customers.

Under the guidance of Vicky, our nursery manager, we grow an extensive range of summer bedding and with ‘grow your own’ being so popular we produce a vast array of vegetable plants too.

Potato Event

We are renowned across the country for our Seed Potato selection and start selling them from January each year, with all the varieties available in time for our annual Potato Weekend.

Also we offer a comprehensive and complimentary range of potato growing pots and tubs, fertilisers and storage sacks.

Our Potato Weekend is always the third weekend in January and across the weekend we celebrate all things potato! If you are looking for advice, information or to pick up a couple of unusual varieties then Dundry Nurseries is the place to be.
