Field Gate Flowers of Lathbury (near Newport Pagnell) is a local grower and florist using traditional British flowers.  We are very passionate about our flowers and are cutting patches (and polytunnels) are filled with the scents of cottage flowers such as delphiniums, cosmos, sweet peas, hollyhocks and roses. All grown chemical free in peat free compost.

In Winter we can supply beautiful wreaths and arrangements from local willow and hedgerow berries.

Ninety percent of our flowers are grown by us locally. Occasionally we may need to seek supplies from alternative British Farm Flower Growers in order to meet the requirements of our customers. Please do ask us if you need anything in particular such as an unusual rose or peony. We do however guarantee that all our flowers are British grown.

We offer free delivery to Milton Keynes and surrounding villages in Buckinghamshire, Northamptonshire and Bedfordshire. Please contact us to see if your postcode qualifies

About Us

In 2006, at about the same time, two new families (unknown to each other at this time) moved to Lathbury to fulfill their individual dreams – to have small holdings for rearing animals, having chickens and growing vegetables. Both families believed that the land should be worked to provide food and vegetables. Fresh flowers in the cutting patches were a wonderful addition.

Over many cups of tea around the kitchen table, and courses in floristry and flower growing Field Gate Flowers was born.We don’t have heated greenhouses just a very large poly tunnel that is home to all our seedlings once germinated. Prior to this, all our seeds sit on the window sills of our houses much to the mutterings of our husbands.

Here at Field Gate Flowers, we specialise in growing and delivering locally grown flowers. Any flowers we cannot grow ourselves in the winter months are sourced from other British flower growers.

Our firm belief is that flowers should be freshly hand-picked each morning and reach you the same day in perfect condition.

We love:-
We love the fact that produce is organic, as we don’t believe in using chemicals (Roz did a degree in Environmental Science….and is against treating anything with chemicals and pesticides).
Seasonality. We love the seasons and it is one of the beauties of living in Great Britain. We are blessed with so many different varieties of flowers each season.
Peat free compost. Peat is extracted far faster that it’s being replaced – it is not a renewable resource in our lifetime and wildlife depend on it – we don’t need to use it.
Bees and Insects. We hope to add bee –keeping to our list this year. Watch out for the honey.
Buying locally to support the local communities.
Charity – we are supporters in the communities in which we live and will be donating 20% of our profits to local charities. Follow us on face book to let us know which charities you would like us to support.
