A recently discovered annual species, Lathyrus belinensis makes an unusual and attractive garden plant. It is easily grown and strongly scented, although the fragrance is different to that of the related sweet pea, Lathyrus odoratus.

Owl’s Acre SeedsWe have been selling sweet pea seed online since 1998 and have now installed an integrated shopping cart and a secure payment system which accepts payment using a wide range of credit cards. Unfortunately, Amex is not supported. Just use the menu to access whatever type of sweet pea seed you require. Happy shopping! If you want modern large flowered sweet peas for the garden or exhibition, select the ‘Spencer’ option from the menu. ‘Heirloom’ varieties have masses of highly scented smaller flowers and give a more informal effect. ‘Dwarf’ sweet peas form spreading mounds only a few inches high and are great for containers and hanging baskets, while the ‘Winter’ sweet peas can be grown in the frost protected greenhouse to give bloom in early March from an autumn sowing. Every sweet pea and Lathyrus species we offer has a page of its own. Simply click on the thumbnail photo to see a large photograph and more details about the variety. If the number of sweet peas available is confusing and you are unsure which varieties you want, why not choose one of our ‘collections’ of sweet pea seed? These are attractively packaged and make great presents. As well as the full range of sweet pea varieties, this new website has a wider range of Lathyrus species than were previously available. These offer interesting possibilities for the adventurous gardener, particularly Lathyrus belinensis which is a relatively recent discovery and rapidly gaining in popularity. Our prices on these are very competitive. More general information about sweet peas and other Lathyrus species can be found on the lathyrus.info website. If you enjoy growing sweet peas, why not join the National Sweet Pea Society. Other Seeds Tomatoes
