Kelways has been a prominent name in British Horticulture since 1851 when it was established by James Kelway in the quiet country town of Langport in Somerset. We are one of the very oldest plant nurseries in the UK and are very proud of our heritage Kelways is famously known for its peonies and irises for over 160 years. The nursery has been exhibiting at Flower Shows for more than 100 years. Kelways Peony Valley, is known around the world by the hundreds of visitors who make the pilgrimage to see it every June. An extensive mail order business and a delightful Plant Based Garden Centre operates from the 40 acre site in Langport Somerset, with friendly and knowledgeable staff. We also specialise in Hardy Ferns of which an extensive range can be seen in our webstore and in our garden centre.

Kelways has been supplying plants by mail order since 1860, and although our “Manuals of Horticulture” have been succeded by an online store, our policy of supplying the highest quality plants with the best possible service is never compromised.
