Welcome! The Temple Bar Inn is every country lover’s dream, nestled in the heart of the Herefordshire village of Ewyas Harold, a stone’s throw from the Welsh Borders and the beautiful Black Mountains; there is no better place to enjoy a pint and the paper. Licensed since the 1850′s, this much-loved watering hole has been sympathetically refurbished, reopening as a Free House and Restaurant where the rustically simple décor, relaxed environment and choice selection of real ales and fine wines, provide the perfect sojourn for locals and visitors alike. Restaurant What once would have been the old stables has been renovated into a 30 seater restaurant with an outside courtyard for when the sun is shining. As food matters to us we change the menu weekly to include tasty seasonal ingredients that are locally sourced wherever possible, and freshly prepared and cooked by our experienced chef. Food is served in the restaurant from 7pm – 9pm Wednesday – Saturday and from 12 noon – 2.30 pm on Sunday. To ensure a dining experience you will want to repeat, and avoid disappointment, it helps if you book ahead for a meal in our restaurant. Function Room The Temple Bar function room is the ideal venue for parties, or for celebrating a special event. Contact us on 01981 240 423 to discuss your requirements. Bed and Breakfast Our three comfortable and stylish ensuite bedrooms offer a comfortable welcome to guests who wish to stay overnight or for a few days. The rooms are all doubles, one of which has space for a child’s cot or extra single bed if required. For information about availability and prices (which include a full English breakfast) please contact us by email or on 01981 24042
