Leading UK Growers of quality plants for over a century Mahood Brothers Limited have been growing and trading a broad range of nursery stock in the North West of England for over a century. Established in 1910, the family-run UK growers pride themselves on their flexibility, customer service and paced growth within the wholesale and amenity markets, developing sales into garden centres and through its Cash and Carry operations in recent years. From its home-grown production of shrubs, herbaceous perennials and trees, stock is selected and designated to each market in which the company operates: growing for commercial projects within the amenity division, carefully selecting and preparing the best examples for its growing network of garden centre custom or boosting its Cash and Carry beds for the local landscaping market.

Mahood Brothers – The Company Our company now operates from 50 acres at Lathom in Lancashire with its field production, busy despatch area and Cash and Carry facilities. We have a second production site at Hesketh Bank with over 10 acres of container-grown stock, ready for wholesale supply and selection and preparation for the garden centre market. As a fourth generation family business, at Mahoods we pride ourselves that we are large enough to cope with the large-scale landscape projects, but are still small enough to listen to our clients – large or small – to ensure they all receive a top quality service.

COMPRISING OF THREE MAIN NURSERY OPERATIONS AND GROWING PRODUCT FROM 12 SITES ACROSS THE UK Glendale Horticulture provide over 18 million plants per annum into the UK market.
Our product range includes bedding plants, soft fruits, vegetables and herbs, herbaceous perennial products, shrubs, trees and hedging. We stock a wide variety of product and grow in large volumes to be able to supply a diverse customer requirement. We also contract grow for specific projects and have a significant supply base to be able to offer the complete product range, not just what we produce ourselves but also a range to meet your full requirements.
Our customers include major retailers, independent garden centres, landscape professionals, garden designers, private estates, local councils, universities, utilities and a large cross section of commercial operators.
