BJ Richards Flowers is a family-run flower wholesaler and importer. As a flower importer, we source flowers from all over the world and sell them to the retail trade across Devon & Cornwall in our own lorries and Nationwide via Courier.

We are also a flower grower growing numerous crops on our 12 acre Nursery and supporting other local and British growers too.

 Our Nursery which is located in the picturesque Tamar Valley here in sunny Cornwall produces a growing range of seasonal and year round flowers and foliage.

Our Wholesale Flowers department sells the flowers & foliage that we grow and import from all over the world.

Every August welcome visitors to our award winning gardens to help raise much needed funds for Charity under the National Garden Scheme.

We have many generations experience in everything from weddings, funerals, festivals, demonstrations, events and general shop trade. Based in Cargreen near Saltash in Cornwall we have daily lorry deliveries covering every major area Monday to Friday and the warehouse is open for pre-arranged collections seven days a week.

Highcroft Gardens

ONLY OPEN AT SELECTED TIMES

 The Gardens at Highcroft were the last piece of the jigsaw. Designed & built single handedly by Barry Richards they were 20 years in the making and cover some 3 acres. Vast sways of colour and shape burst into life every summer offering some stunning views. The Gardens have one of the widest ranges of species to be found in any private garden in Cornwall which include collections of Camellias, Agapanthus, Hydrangeas and Grasses.

Annually the British flower industry on a retail level is worth £2.2 billion, to put that into perspective the UK Music industry is worth £2 billion a year.

Yet only 10% of that figure are flowers produced in Great Britain compared to nearly 50% only 20 years ago and nearly 100% 50 years ago.

But with the current economic crisis it’s no longer cheaper to import many flowers.

Sadly too late for the majority of British growers but a second chance for those of us left
