The Garden Centre is brimming with a wealth of unusual perennials, shrubs and climbers. For example we have over 80 of those “harder to find” plants listed in the RHS Plantfinder book.
There is always a good selection of shrubs and plants which are not commonly found elsewhere, together with a wide range of the more commonly sought after plants. We also offer a plant sourcing service so if you are looking for a plant that we don’t have in stock we would be happy to try and get it for you. Experienced and knowledgeable staff are happy to give advice on all aspects of gardening.
From mid November to March we stock a large range of bare rooted hedging and young trees, ornamental trees and shrubs, ground cover plants, climbers and fruit. These are available for collection from the Garden Centre or for dispatch throughout Great Britain through our mail order service and on-line catalogue. Staff are always happy to spend time taking customers to see the various hedges and discuss their merits with them. However, it is better to come during the week as we can spend more time with you.

We are passionate about our giftware at Buckingham Garden Centre and we have searched far and wide to expand our ranges by carefully selecting a choice of giftware that will suit every taste.  Whether you need a card, gift, kitchen tool or a new flower arrangement we can help. We believe we can cater for a wide range of occasions from a personal gift for a friend to the perfect photo frame. Come and see for yourself!

A farming friend in the next village has recently taken up beekeeping with great enthusiasm and when talking to him and his wife, and also to another friend who has been a beekeeper and swarm collector for many years, I was persuaded that our Garden Centre would be an ideal location for bees – masses of flowering plants and trees, a good source of water, and, of course, somewhere the public could safely sees hives of bees and occasionally and at a safe distance, beekeepers working with the bees.  In this way we could, possibly encourage others to take up the art of beekeeping.
Before going ahead, a lot of homework was done reading as many books and articles as we could about beekeeping.  Many years ago we had bees on the Garden Centre, but these were kept by firstly a local beekeeper, then our nursery manager who was a beekeeper.  However, when he retired his bees went with him and we had not thought of continuing with having bees as no-one had any knowledge of beekeeping.  However, we were persuaded that the time was come to return bees to the Garden Centre as there is such a need for new hives to be introduced in the area.
As a result we invested in the necessary equipment to get us started, including two beautiful traditional wooden hives.  Farokh, our beekeeping friend and swarm manager, procured two swarms for us, and there began an extremely exciting new aspect of life in our Garden Centre.
