Early Dawn started life as a wholesale nurseries, supplying local markets and garden centres. They mainly supplied 9cm clematis, conifers and Rhododendrons. In the late 1980s the markets began to decline as more retail operations opened and Early Dawn made the decision to also become a retail operation selling the plants they grew in the nurseries. Over the years the site has grown up around the nurseries. Selling began from a shed, then a greenhouse, then a small building up until the early 2000’s when the new main building was built.

Early Dawn joined the Cherry Lane family on 19th February 2014 and has been trading since the 21st February 2014. Cherry Lane has brought new life to the centre with a host of new product ranges added. There is also a new purpose built Watering Can restaurant offering a wide variety of foods and drinks, and improvements to access for disabled customers and improvements to car parking facilities. Early Dawn has retained it’s growing operation and invested significantly in the Nursery facilities, as we look to develop and expand our homegrown plant offer.
